Leading University Computer Club (LUCC) successfully arranged “Tech Storm 2” On Saturday, July 29, 2017. This was a whole day event which includes Inter University Programming contest, ICT quiz contest, Logo Design Contest and T-Shirt Design Contest. 55 teams from 13 different universities of all over the country participated in Inter University Programming Contest. There were 8 problem setters of the programming contest from different institute like DU,NSU, IUT, LU. The prize distribution ceremony was held at 4:00 pm in the Hall room of Surma Tower campus of Leading University. Honorable Vice-Chancellor of Leading University Professor Dr. Md. Qumruzzaman Chowdhury glorified the prize giving ceremony by his presence as the chief guest. Honorable Registrar(acting) S.M Ali Akkas and Advisor of LUCC and Head (Acting) of the CSE Department of Leading University Mohammad Asaduzzaman Khan was also present at the ceremony. All the faculty members of the CSE Department were also present. Honorable VC of Leading University thanked all the participants and organizers for arranging such programs. He also congratulated the winners. Honorable Advisor of LUCC hoped that, very soon Leading University Computer Club will arrange “CSE Carnival”. This was just the beginning. After all the greeting speeches, the main prize giving ceremony was started. The winners were rewarded by beautiful gift hampers ,medals and prize moneys.
The winner team of Inter University Programming Contest was TeamX from Shah Jalal Science&Technology University. Their team members were Md. kazi nayeem, Md. nazim uddin, Moudud khan shahriar. They got prize money 6 thousand.The runners up team was SUST_JokerMen from Shah Jalal Science&Technology University. Their team members were Avishek Paul, Md. Maruful Alam, Mehedi Hasan Palash.They got prize money 3 thousand. LU_RandomChances from Leading University Sylhet got the 3rd place.Their team member were Araf al jami, tarq aziz khan, Ishtiak ahmed fuad.
The team members of first 6 teams got medals & all the participants got individual certificates.
Winner of ICT Quiz Contest was Emdad hussain of CSE department from Leading University,Sylhet.The runners up was Md. Rafi of CSE department from Leading University and Ziaul Islam from Sylhet Polytechnic Institute.
In Logo Design Contest the winner was ABu yousuf biplob of BBA department from Leading University,Sylhet. And the runners up was Asif Sobahan of CSE from Leading University,Sylhet .
Winner of T-Shirt Design Contest was MD. Nabil Hasan of CSE from Leading University,Sylhet .And the runners up was Asif Sobahan of CSE from Leading University,Sylhet .
“Leading University Computer Club” showed their capacity of organizing a national level event by arranging Tech Storm 2 in a constructive way. Hopefully in future, LUCC will come with other splendid events.
