Biography
Kulsuma Khanum is an enthusiastic educator and young researcher in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. She joined Leading University in June 2023 as a Lecturer and has since been engaged in teaching key undergraduate courses including Electronics, Energy Conversion, Control Systems, and Renewable Energy. Alongside her teaching, she supervises thesis projects and takes an active role in departmental activities as Convener of the Course Offering & Distribution Committee and Female Faculty Representative on the Disciplinary Committee.
She completed her B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Sylhet Engineering College with distinction, where she was an active member of the SEC Robotics Club and worked on line-following robot projects. She also completed a month-long industrial training at the Training Institute for Chemical Industries (TICI), a renowned center for electrical and instrumentation technology. For her undergraduate thesis, she contributed to research on energy demand forecasting of electric vehicle adoption in Dhaka city.
Currently pursuing her M.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), she continues her research in renewable energy systems and smart grid applications. Her academic work and teaching reflect a deep interest in sustainable energy and modern power technologies.
