Biography

It’s a great pleasure to be part of Leading University and join Business department. After completing my second postdoctoral, I decided to settle in Bangladesh, and contribute in academic pursuits. And I further believe that I can contribute very ardently, and assist very thoroughly, because I have more than twenty-eight years of track record both in academia and business world, and I am confident, that, I will positively make inroads to dent something extremely constructive when I work dedicatedly for the institution concerned. I do fully understand the needs and aspirations, as well as the requirements, and can augment truly and immensely. I did my bachelor’s, master’s in economics and Islamic economics and PhD in management and very well trained in these areas. My PhD focus was on performance and sustainability. In addition, to performing in a business environment, I also taught finance, investment theory and analysis, entrepreneurship, principles of management, and Islamic management, business communication, consumer behavior, business ethics, economics, history of economic thought, micro and macro analysis, Islamic business, seminars in Islamic management issues, marketing theory, Islamic economics, at UUM, MMU, ULAB, UniSHAMS, IIUM, Leading University, Army Institute Sylhet and elsewhere. I did a course on economic perspectives on society at London School of Economics & Political Science (LSE), London, under Prof Max Steuer in 1993, and passed gracefully. Evaluation. Students’ evaluation recently (2023) went up to 97% (Principles of management, a course offered by School of Business Management, UUM, an Eminent Management AACSB Accredited University), and most students very favorable of my teaching method and style, which is truly incredible. At least reviewed more than 17 journal articles, as reviewers, and two Scopus journals. As a proud Bangladeshi citizen, I was also appointed as external examiner for PhD candidate for a reputed university in Pakistan. Thankfully, 2025 is a year of giving, and most likely, as I am well equipped with futuristic goals, and as my teaching experience may add to it, will be an added advantage.
